Pediatric Medical Oncology: A Radiologist’s Guide to Treatment Protocols
摘要
Childhood cancer constitutes a small fraction of the global cancer burden. According to WHO, globally an estimated 400,000 children and adolescents (0–19 years) develop cancer each year. In India, annually approximately 45,000 children are diagnosed with malignancy [1, 2]. The causes of these cancers are multifactorial, often involving a combination of genetic predisposition and environmental factors, with only a small percentage attributable to known hereditary syndromes.
