The growing adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) drives digital transformation and the search for more sustainable business modelsSustainable business models. However, the literature still does not provide a comprehensive view of how these technologies are applied to promote sustainability in global businesses, especially in countries with substantial research and development investments, such as Japan, South Korea, USA, China, and parts of Europe. To fill this gap, this systematic literature review (SLR) seeks to identify the main trends, challenges, and opportunities at the intersection of AI, IoT, and sustainability with analyses through the VOSviewer software. The research mapped and analyzed the existing literature using Scopus, Web of Science, and CAPES Journals databases. The results include identifying best practices and advancing knowledge on the interface between technology and sustainability, contributing to the construction of a more sustainable future aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations (UN).

However, the literature still does not provide a comprehensive view of how these technologies are applied to promote sustainability in global businesses, especially in countries with substantial research and development investments, such as Japan, South Korea, USA, China, and parts of Europe.
