Most of the literature focused on sustainability-based operations within the supply chain. However, very little literature can be found attempting to investigate managing carbon emissions in the logistics and transportation area. Further, the previous articles presented the possibility of accelerating the transition of the existing system to low low-carbon emission system. Therefore, this study focuses on determining and evaluating the primary obstacles to low-carbon emission procedures in the logistics and transportation area in India. From the extensive literature review and expert opinion, 18 potential obstacles to low-carbon emission systems have been identified. A fuzzy decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory method has been employed to seek the potential barriers. This study reveals that a lack of motivation for low-carbon-based attainment is not a major issue, but a lack of availability of low-carbon technology is a significant issue in implementing low low-carbon emission system.

摘要
