Environmental and Economic Benefits of Algal-Microbial Remediation
摘要
The remarkable potential of algae to drive environmental sustainability and biotechnological innovation is being realized by exploring the synergistic relationships between algae and other microbes. Scientists are developing novel solutions to pressing ecological challenges, including the development of green remediation technologies. The integration of algal-microbial consortia into biotechnological applications, in particular is poised to yield significant improvements in efficiency, productivity, and environmental sustainability. To maximize the benefits of these bio-complexes, researchers are investigating the intricate mechanisms to amplify biomass production, synthesizing high-value biochemicals, and integrating Microbial Fuel Cells (MFCs) for renewable energy, waste reduction, and resource conservation. Harnessing the potential of algae presents a regenerative and viable pathway to mitigate worldwide eco-energy and water security challenges with far-reaching implications for industrial-scale implementation.
