A Compound Word and Language-Based Classification of Disagreed Phrasemes of Different Scripts of Indo-Aryan Languages
摘要
The closed compound words and multi-word expressions are crucial elements that enhance the beauty of written text, serving as integral components of grammar. In Hindi and Awadhi, these linguistic constructs are known as “Samaas” and are primarily used to shorten the words. The authors have introduced ABD2KT, labeling it as version zero, and subsequently refined the algorithm to create ABD2KT-1.0. This version is specifically designed to identify six types of “Samaas”—“Avyayibhav” (AVY), “Bahuvrihi” (BAH), “Dvandva” (DVA), “Dvigu” (DVI), “Karmadharya” (KAR), and “Tatpurusha” (TAT) “Samaas.” Together, these categories are referred to as the “Samaas” Category Identifier (SCI). The ABD2KT-1.0 “Samaas” Finder identifies inputted words, which can belong to any SCI category. The tool is suitable for all types of Indo-Aryan languages. Words identified by SCI are categorized as either agreed words or disagreed words. Agreed words harmonize with the established “Samaas” algorithm, while disagreed words diverge from the algorithm for various reasons. The research paper classify all disagreed words into two distinct categories: Not Translated Correctly (NTC) or Not Following Algorithm (NFA).
