Take a Deep Breath
摘要
Biomarkers are quantifiable alterations linked to diseases. Exhaled breath offers numerous indicators of physiological changes and is considered a promising early source of biomarkers due to its absence of homeostatic regulation. Additionally, the data obtained from breath analysis complements that from other bodily fluids like urine and tears. Detecting biomarkers earlier can lead to quicker diagnoses, resulting in more treatment options and extended time for intervention. Researching exhaled breath in animal models is advantageous as it minimizes confounding variables, allowing for the identification of earlier disease changes.
