Just as China has set about forging ahead into “basically realizing socialist modernization” in 2035 and “achieving socialist modernization in all respects” in 2050 from “building a moderately prosperous society in all respects”, the world began the momentous changes unseen in a century. From the perspective of big history, people are not surprised that the momentous changes have happened, because history is open and always in a state of flux, and history has also gone through countless momentous changes. Once in a while, a momentous change will always come along. The momentous change itself is only an objective “social thing” (the concept of French sociologist Émile Durkheim).
