Cavitary Lung Disease
摘要
Lung cavities can be the result of diverse illnesses such as infectious, neoplastic, autoimmune or occupational diseases. The diagnostic approach to cavities differs from that to cysts, since cavities almost provide an opportunity for diagnostic intervention when conservative methods of diagnosis prove inconclusive. This chapter discusses the differential diagnosis of cavitary lung disease based on their discriminating characteristics, and provides information that might be integrated into a practical plan for their diagnostic workup.
