Geocomposites are imitative from a combination of minimum two different geomaterials, such as geonets, geotextiles, geogrids, as well as geomembranes, which are normally fabricated inside a factory. The generation of greenhouse gases over the decades due to rapid urbanization and industrialization has been causing environmental degradation, health issues in living creatures, including humans, and leading to the rapid rate of change in the climate, which is expected to become worse in the future. Geocomposites are one of the materials that can reduce the emission of greenhouse gases greatly in comparison to conventional solutions, because of the significant reduction of the mass of materials and a considerable decrease in the transport emissions. In addition to that, geocomposites have other applications in the civil engineering construction industry for sustainable and resilient infrastructure development. Additionally, graphical analysis is performed on the data available from different sources to understand the current as well as future trends of geocomposites in the world, in order to support the study.

摘要
