Recycled Asphalt Pavement (RAP) is becoming more popular in road construction and maintenance due to rising material costs, depleting natural resources and growing emphasis on sustainability. Despite the benefits, the variability in asphalt mixes and milling techniques has resulted to limited understanding of the impact of different RAP sources on engineering performance. This knowledge gap has hindered the widespread use of RAP as a filler in geotechnical projects. This study aims to bridge this gap by looking into the various aspects of RAP for geotechnical applications. It provides an overview of the physical and geotechnical properties of RAP, its potential for reuse, and its limitations. The review assesses the viability of using RAP in geotechnical projects and its contribution to sustainable infrastructure development.

摘要
