As introduced in Chap. 1, the photovoltaic (PV) inverters are the key link responsible for converting solar energy into electricity. The topology and control technology directly determine the investment costs, conversion efficiency, and output performance of the PV generation system. There are many topologies for connecting PV modules to the grid. Among these, the three-level T-type inverter (3LT2I) is preferred in PV applications for several exclusive features in operation, performance, and structural issues. Especially, 3LT2I is an efficiency-effective inverter in low-voltage applications. Thus, in this chapter, the 3LT2I is taken as the typical topology to introduce the operation principle, modeling, control framework, and modulation schemes of PV inverters.

摘要
