Deep Learning-based 3D and Multimodal Coding
摘要
3D image compression is a special compression technology for 3D image data, which aims to reduce the volume of image files and maintain the highest image quality as possible. Unlike traditional 2D image compression, 3D image compression requires consideration of additional dimensions and complex data structures because 3D images contain depth information in space. In 3D image compression, a number of special algorithms and techniques are often used to effectively reduce the amount of data while preserving important details and structure as much as possible. This helps reduce costs in terms of storage and transmission and improves the efficiency and performance of images in a variety of applications. Within this chapter, the emphasis shifts towards methods for deep learning-based 3D and multimodal image compression methods.
