Effect of Inclination Angle to the Micro Dimple Machined Using Inclined Milling Method
摘要
In the context of micro dimple fabrication using the inclined milling method, the milling center mark typically formed inside the micro lead to uneven and rough surface. This study aims to investigate the effect of inclination angle, θ to milling center mark formation during micro dimple fabrication using the inclined milling method as well as the dimple condition post machining process. Experimental works were conducted using a range of inclination angles, θ from 0° to 45° and notably the micro dimple, were observed using a LASER Confocal Microscope and analyzed based on these machining parameters. Results indicate that higher inclination angles, θ tend to reduce milling center mark formation. These findings provide valuable insights into optimizing the inclined milling processes to mitigate the micro dimple defect as well as to improve machining efficiency.
