Metal matrix composites are manufactured using a variety of methods, including spray deposition, liquid metal infiltration, powder metallurgy, stir casting, and in situ fabrication. While each method has its own areas of expertise, the stir casting process was employed in this work to produce MMC because it is the most affordable, versatile, scalable, homogeneous, and low porosity approach currently available. Aluminium 7075 is the matrix, while boron carbide, with an average particle size of 50 nm, has been chosen as the reinforcement. Keeping the furnace temperature, stirrer speed, and volume of molten metal constant, the composite was developed with various weight ratios of B4C (2, 4, and 6%). The samples are then prepared to be tested for their mechanical properties, and SEM has been used to finish the microstructure investigation. The results show that, according to the graphical representation, the mechanical properties have improved.
