Autism or Autism Spectrum Disorder is the world’s third most common developmental disability. In India, every 1 in 100 children below ten years of age has autism. With this significant rise in the disorder, better tools are required to diagnose it as well as treat it. The improvements in Artificial Intelligence make it an increasingly powerful tool in today’s date. Conversational Artificial Intelligence is a subfield of Artificial Intelligence which essentially include virtual agents that users can talk to. Using the power of Conversational AI, we have proposed a virtual agent that can be used by children with Autism to learn English, develop their social skills and discover how to cope with anxiety. The proposed virtual chatbot is based on Natural Language Processing and other Deep Learning techniques. This application aims to improve and make treatment easier for children suffering from Autism.
