The fifth chapter presents the main research methods applicable to architecture. All the research methods presented in this chapter include literature review, analysis of archival architectural designs, case study, SWOT and SWOT/TOWS analyses, user research, analysis of architectural composition, and closely related to design process architectural programming, research by design, and Evidence-based design (EBD), and architectural modeling. All these methods can be modified and adjusted to the ever-changing requirements of theoretical or practical architectural research.
