The second chapter describes four crucial research skills: focus, reasoning, critical thinking, and creativity, supported by ethics. This chapter also explains why and how we apply these skills to architectural research and other fields of interest. Here, a proper understanding and the careful use of the abovementioned skills and ethical behavior are presented as crucial factors in performing unbiased research activities. Additionally, the significance of ethics in research is explained from a humanistic point of view.
