Through the development of the Han dynasty, not only did Confucianism itself become the predominant part of the knowledge system due to its unique position in classical studies, but also Confucian values, propelled by the ruling class, evolved into a system that regulated people’s behaviour, including ‘rituals and laws’ and ‘rectification of names’ (orthodox teachings).
