Maintaining cleanliness and hygienic conditions in public restrooms is a difficult undertaking that needs ongoing focus. Urine frequently contains ammonia, which can quickly accumulate in public restrooms and result in unpleasant odors and unhygienic conditions. A new initiative has been created to monitor ammonia levels in public restrooms and sound an alarm if they increase in order to address this issue. The MQ-137 gas sensor module is used in this project to measure the amount of ammonia in the air. An Arduino microcontroller is used to process the sensor’s data and is configured to notify the appropriate authorities when ammonia levels surpass predetermined criteria. The project will assist guarantee timely cleaning of public restrooms and enhance hygiene and cleanliness at these facilities by offering real-time monitoring and notifications. This project is an economical and effective way to monitor ammonia levels in public restrooms since it takes use of sophisticated sensor technology and microcontroller programming.
