Post-evaluation of Environmental Impact of Modified and Solidified Red Mud Road Use

The key to environmental risk assessment is to determine the source release concentration and exposure concentration. This project uses the maximum leaching method (HJ/T-299) for environmental impact assessment to characterize the source release concentration of pollutants in red mud. Based on exposure scenario analysis and combined with environmental investigation, the exposure concentration of pollutants after release to the exposure point was simulated and calculated. Using the groundwater class III standard value as the evaluation standard, the environmental risk of the use of modified and solidified red mud roads was characterized. The main process includes: use mode and environmental investigation, establishment of exposure scenarios, concentration of characteristic pollutants in modified red mud, dilution attenuation model and parameters, calculation of exposure concentration and risk characterization. The brief process is shown in Fig. 8.1.
