This chapter focuses on the use of modified red mud for highway construction, analyzes the exposure scenarios of modified red mud for road use, including exposure pathways and how to determine the simulation parameters of exposure scenarios, further studies the method for determining the exposure concentration of pollutants in modified red mud, and proposes the method for evaluating the impact of the process of using modified red mud on the soil. Based on the red mud from Chiping, Liaocheng as the base material, a specific simulation scenario for the use of modified solidified red mud for road use is established, and a risk assessment of the exposure scenario is conducted based on this, providing a reference for the environmental risk assessment of the actual engineering application of modified red mud.
