Alcohol Fuels for Sustainable Energy Solutions
摘要
The mitigation of climate change requires a reduction in global CO2 emissions, and this can only be achieved by moving away from fossil fuels. Because fossil fuels come from limited supplies, they are rapidly running out and seriously affecting ecosystems and the environment. This demonstrates how urgent it is to investigate alternative fuels, such as alcohol, biodiesel, vegetable oils, and gaseous fuels like hydrogen, natural gas, and biogas, that may be produced from locally accessible resources. Alcohol fuels stand out from the rest because they have performance, ignition, and combustion characteristics that are quite like conventional fuels derived from petroleum. Alcohols can be used directly in internal combustion (IC) engines as oxygenated fuels or combined with biofuels. Alcohol fuels are a good substitute for conventional fuels and help create a more sustainable energy future because of their intrinsic oxygen content, which also improves engine performance and lowers exhaust emissions.
