A Review on Enhancement in Efficiency of U-Type Evacuated Tube Solar Collector by Using Nanofluid
摘要
The review of this paper is to analyze the impact of nanofluids on efficiency of U-type solar evacuated tube collector. Firstly, the significance of using various evacuated tube solar collector for various solar heating application and secondly the usage of nanofluid instead of conventional fluid (water) in U-type evacuated tube solar collector to increase the collector efficiency. In this review paper, we mainly focus on U-type ETSCs because of its better performance in cloudy environment as compared to other types of solar collectors. Several factors such as vol. fraction, different nanoparticle size used in U-type evacuated tube solar collector, and its impact on efficiency on collector and outlet temperature of the fluid. In this paper, several nanoparticles such as TiN, Al2O3, CuO, Cu, and others are mixed with base fluid water with different nanoparticles of size between 1–25, 25–50 and 50–100 nm. The excessive consumption of non-renewable resources poses a serious threat to meeting the future energy demands of the growing world population.
