The intended population for ALPPS comprises colorectal liver metastasis (CRLM), hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC), perihilar cholangiocarcinoma (PHC), gallbladder cancer, epithelioid hemangioendothelioma, and non-CRLM patients, as reported on the ALPPS registry ( https://ALPPS.net ). According to the ALPPS registry, CRLM, HCC, PHC, and ICC remain the most common indications for ALPPS, though ALPPS is theoretically suitable for treating nearly all primary and secondary liver tumors (Fig. 4.1).
