The research aims to evaluate the images made with two different rendering engines in Maya software, Arnold and a third-party plugin named V-Ray, which is widely used in educational, 3d animation film, architecture, games, and many computer art purposes. Rendering engines are critical tools in 3D software, enabling the creation of visually stunning and realistic images. Two popular rendering engines, Arnold and V-Ray, have garnered significant attention in the industry due to their advanced features and exceptional performance. In this paper, a comparison of two rendering engines within Maya software shows the subjective and objective of the end products. Also checking of hardware usage, calculating the render time, and concluding which renderer will be preferred for a given scene. It was found that the quality of V-Ray rendering is better than Arnold’s. Rendering time depends upon the rendering engine, the system’s hardware configuration, and the total number of 3D objects, vertices, lights, materials, HD textures, and samples used in shadows.
