Healthcare is at the center of our lives at all levels, and therefore, this chapter entails telemetric, artificial intelligence diagnostics, health informatics, wearable technologies, and personalized healthcare. Rapid technological advancements are reshaping the way traditional approaches have been conceived, designed, and implemented in traditional sustainable development. Innovations that were not possible just a few short years ago or that were not even conceivable are increasingly being deployed in pursuit of Sustainable Development Goals, most especially among medical people and patients. There is deep interconnectedness across and within these innovations and emerging trends, including different perspectives on, as well as approaches to, sustainable development, from technological hardware and software solutions to social entrepreneurship and institutional choices. Furthermore, there is an intimate link between the kinds of innovations that might be further classified under, say, social entrepreneurship and the kinds of innovative business models that support them. This deeply interdisciplinary constellation of healthcare experiences and ideas fundamentally challenges traditional sector silos, seeing technologies and funds increasingly cross boundaries from health to productivity to health more and onward to deeply digital and blockchain platforms and other areas.
