IOT-Based Wireless Battery Monitoring System

It provides a wireless battery monitoring system by using the Internet of Things (IoT) technology to address growing demands for reliable and efficient energy storage solutions in applications. The IoT-based system will have the capability of real-time health monitoring and evaluation for its batteries, ensuring improved overall performance and longevity. Wireless sensor nodes are incorporated in the system, and they strategically place these in different batteries that create a full network that would relay data to the central monitoring center. These sensor nodes have incorporated sensors to get the necessary information such as voltage, temperature, and current to deliver a full perspective of the battery pack’s charge status. It ensures that there are no cumbersome wired connections, thus enabling the nodes and the central hub to communicate smoothly. The system presented here contains modules dedicated to monitoring, control, and communication. The central components are voltage and current sensors, which allow the system to collect real-time data about the electrical characteristics of the battery. This information is processed by the monitoring and control unit, which is a ESP8266 microcontroller. This acts as the central processing component which analyzes the information and makes decisions based on predefined algorithms.
