Design and Development of Cost-Effective Myoelectric Prosthetic Arm Using Arduino Uno for Enhanced Accessibility
摘要
This study dwelves into the design and development of a cost-effective myoelectric prosthetic arm prototype aimed at enhancing accessibility for individuals with limb loss. This project builds an EMG controlled prosthetic hand using an Arduino Uno microcontroller, cost-effective EMG sensors, and free software platforms that make it a cost-effective and realistic solution to expensive commercial prosthetic limbs. The arm uses servomotors and flex sensors for functional control and translates the muscle signals into mechanical movements. The feasibility of constructing an accessible prosthetic from off-the-shelf hardware, and the importance of cost without sacrificing utility are covered in this paper.
