This paper presents a systematic analysis of the research literature related to the field of sustainable clothing material design using CiteSpace software. The study population covered 1814 valid pieces of literature between 2013 and 2023. Analysis through bibliometrics and visualization reveals research trends, hotspots, and collaborative networks in the field. Research into sustainable clothing materials has seen a significant increase after 2018. Research hotspots include ecological footprint, circular economy, etc., forming a cooperative network centered on Chinese Acad Sci, Donghua Univ, and South China Univ Technol. Moreover, CiteSpace's strengths and weaknesses in analytics were also discussed, and major trends in research were noted.
