The construction engineering sector has consistently played a pivotal role in shaping societies and laying foundations for the future. The application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Green Technology in construction engineering and management has clearly improved the operations and procedures used in this industry, leading to the achievement of sustainability and development on construction structures. In this study, the researchers aimed to assess and understand the role of artificial intelligence and green technology in construction engineering management, discuss their current applications used in the field, explore potential integration of both artificial intelligence and green technology in construction, develop generalizations on the benefits and challenges of implementing such variables in the construction methods and operations, and propose strategies for their effective implementation in the field. With that, the researchers employed a qualitative research design to gather knowledge and information through review of related literature and studies. In line with this, Glaserian Grounded Theory, a qualitative textual analysis is utilized to interpret and analyze the data gathered through coding, categorizing, and constant comparison of data. As a result, the roles of AI and green technology in the construction engineering management field is important in attaining sustainability and improving efficiency of various operations. Moreover, different applications of AI and green technology on construction have been identified and were recognized as a key factor in transforming the construction industry. Lastly, the findings acquired in this study are used to further improve the knowledge on AI and green technology in the industry.
