The integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data Analytics is crucial for the healthcare industry in Malaysia. This paper highlights the roles, applications and the impacts of the technologies to this industry. IoT and big data analytics have revolutionized healthcare services by cutting costs, increasing efficiency, and implementing more patient-centric care models. By enabling real-time health monitoring and data collecting, IoT now allows for patient monitoring, improving both operational efficiency and patient outcomes. This paper also provides an overview of the challenges of the technologies such as cybersecurity risks, fragmented healthcare data, and the need for improved digital literacy among healthcare professionals. The contribution of this paper lies into a strategic approach encompassing infrastructure development, policy reform, and stakeholder engagement for realizing the potential of IoT and Big Data Analytics in Malaysian healthcare.
