Digital technologies have revolutionized all walks of life including note-taking mechanisms. Traditional ways face challenges with efficiency, accessibility, and organization of notes. This paper presents the Web-Based Note-Taking Tool (WNT), a web-based innovative platform to solve these problems. WNT has the ability for time-based automatic note retrieval and organization making it easier to find and organize according to creation time. WNT used agile Scrum framework development together with the qualitative insights from semi-structured interviews and thematic analysis. React, Node.js, and Firebase were used for development. At each development phase, the functionality and usability of the application were tested by unit testing and user acceptance testing. User feedback on the effectiveness of WNT is very positive with satisfaction concerning efficiency, organization features and a user-friendly interface, thus proving its effectuality against challenges associated with traditional note-taking methods.
