The numbers of vehicles are growing day by day. It has become very necessary to maintain the information of large number of vehicle in a secured manner. Traditional methods for car registration and information management confront security, transparency, and efficiency concerns. For solving these problems in this work, a vehicle registration and information management system named VIM has been developed. Blockchain has been used to store the vehicle records. Blockchain’s decentralized and immutable ledger offers a safe and transparent platform for capturing and managing critical vehicle-related data. Smart contracts, which are essential to blockchain, simplify registration processes, lowering paperwork and administrative hassles. The use of blockchain protects data integrity, dramatically reducing the danger of fraud and illegal modifications. But blockchain networks can be sluggish and unproductive due to the high processing demands required to validate transactions. To establish a solid link and to increase transaction speed, the proposed VIM system uses off-chain storage. The proposed system has been implemented using Remix Ethereum IDE. Performance analysis shows that the proposed system can be implemented in real-life scenario.
