There are two main types of motor driver technology for robots, IGBT and MOSFET. The IGBT has slower switching speeds and is often considered to be robust and cost-effective motor drive solutions for low-speed switching applications (Tian and Chen NC in J Electron Packag 146(4), 2024). When the switching frequency exceeds 16kH, MOSFET is usually used instead. MOSFET is more advantageous in motor drives than IGBT solutions (Choudhary et al. in Meas Sci Technol 35(8), 2024), and their high speeds and other characteristics are well suited for complex motor drive solutions, such as industrial robots.

摘要
