Design and Implement an IoT Solution to Address the Challenges of Remote Patient Monitoring and Improve Healthcare
摘要
The healthcare field has had a technology revolution through the advent of Internet of Things technology. Our IoT health monitoring system is a novel platform that relies on the robust ThingSpeak platform, providing a complete solution for continuous remote monitoring of patients’ vital signs. These sensors are located all over the patient’s body in order to detect and process ECG, oxygen saturation, pulse rate, and temperature now these are also said to be tracked after major hospitalization. These data sources forward their information via live wireless links toward an inclusive IoT gateway from where it is compiled and encrypted before sending as secure information into ThingSpeak cloud. With this data available in real time, care teams can make good decisions based on it and intervene earlier enough to help such person. This means that our system’s main focus area is scalability and interoperability which suits well with modern health infrastructure as well as extending monitoring outside the typical clinical settings. It allows healthcare givers to monitor patients who are not admitted in hospitals especially those who remain in their homes as well as other distant locations. This will see patient-monitoring tools reach more people thus patients will remain healthy. The algorithms that our system is built around are very strong and this ensures the accuracy of data while also maintaining consistency in the process by using proactive anomaly detectors which in turn bring any abnormality to the attention of the caregivers. The Internet of Things (IoT) is being used more and more in healthcare systems, which shows a trend toward keeping an eye on patients and making medicine more personalized. IoT and healthcare working together has made it easier to keep track of vital signs, which is very helpful for people because it means they can get help sooner and get better faster. Our study aims to fill this gap by creating a health tracking system that is based on outcomes and keeps track of physiological measures like ECG, SpO2, HR BT, and so on. Our solution uses features of the ThingSpeak platform to offer a cheap way to check on and evaluate patients’ health in real time. More and more people are getting long-term illnesses, and society is getting older. This makes tracking tools that let people take care of their own health from home even more important. In traditional medicine, patients often have to go to healthcare facilities, which might not notice any changes in their health between sessions. On the other hand, enabled health tracking systems encourage observation that gives people the power to take charge of their own health on their own terms. Our study adds to what has already been learned about IoT-based health tracking systems by focusing on problems like data accuracy, stability, and the ability for different systems to work together. Modern sensors and advanced signal processing methods help us keep an eye on the signs and make sure that the data we collect is correct and dependable. Our system is built around the ThingSpeak platform, which provides a strong cloud-based framework for storing, displaying, and analyzing data. In addition, our system has features for finding abnormalities and sending out alerts, so guardians and healthcare providers can be quickly notified of any problems or changes in vital signs that aren't normal.
