This research chapter analyzes how to grow the economy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions to address climate change. It examines decarbonization solutions, from renewable energy transitions to energy efficiency measures to international cooperation, all of which advance sustainable development on a path that doesn’t derail economic progress. The study applies a qualitative, case study approach from developed and developing economies to show how growth can be decoupled from emissions through technological progress, policy innovations, and sustainable business models. Yet in such rapidly growing economies, (such as Nigeria with its large oil revenues) financial and infrastructural constraints remain major obstacles. On the other hand, research chapter exhibits the significance of harmonizing the economic growth and climate neutrality for advancing long-term prosperity globally, environmental sustainability, and social equality. It calls for green technology policies, carbon capture and international financial cooperation. To avoid climate neutrality with economic growth, the study concludes that a coordinated effort among governments, businesses, and international organizations is required. Achieving this balance is crucial to dealing with the global warming crisis and to delivering a sustainable future. This research contributes to the discourse on green growth by providing insights to policymakers and businesses from both developed and developing countries how they can be climate neutral without sacrificing economic progress.

摘要
