Concerns on the climate change (CC) have resulted in forecasts about the reactions of populations residing in regions susceptible to drought, flooding, and temperature fluctuations to these occurrences. Preliminary research indicated that due to CC there are significant surges in human migration (HM) as households became unable of adapting to its effects. Recent empirical research examining the CC and its impacts have recorded the fluctuations in migration patterns fluctuate as a result of the extreme events as well as the traveling capacity of the households. This chapter presents a comprehensive review of the existing research on the interconnections between CC and migration. The chapter synthesizes a broad range of publications to demonstrate that how environmental changes are related to migration dynamics. Key focus concepts include the differentiation between climate-induced migration resulting from fast-onset events and slow-onset events. Additionally, it is also described that how migration impacts the origin and destination regions. The review offers implications to effectively manage and navigate the challenges resulting from climate-induced migration, emphasizing the requirement for informed policy responses and adaptive frameworks. This chapter is aimed at contributing to the understanding of how CC influences human mobility, offering guidelines for areas that can be explored in future research and action in this area.
