Infrastructure functions as a fundamental framework, providing essential support and services within its designated domain. Considering every aspect of a state, we realise that all infrastructure represents a danger to technological sovereignty, and is a means by which national security may be compromised. Precisely because of this, the use of technologies to achieve technological sovereignty becomes extremely important for national security, especially in the conditions of the creation of a multipolar world. In addition to the above, this chapter explores the ways in which data is stored, how it is handled and legal regulations that refer to it. The chapter also discusses various roles and responsibilities of different actors that must deliver professional support for businesses and people who need to protect their data, and provide them with information on how they should treat their data, which will influence the increase in security and the building of trust between the actors involved in the digital sphere. Conversely, there is a pressing need for competent personnel within institutional systems tasked with overseeing information systems, a concern particularly relevant within the BRICS framework.
