Process automation is a constant improvement around the world that contributes to the change and evolution of any process. Current research proposes an innovative method to grow Italian lettuce by using the hydroponic technique, an innovative technique for growing vegetables, in a non-traditional way. To ensure optimal and healthy development, it is essential to take into account specific needs, such as the following study variables such as: temperature, water levels, and a balanced administration of nutrients. Hydroponic crops can obtain thirty to fifty percent more profitability than crops grown in soil. The automation of hydroponic cultivation was possible thanks to industry 5.0, which allowed the introduction of computer advances for the control of variables, as well as the correct execution and evolution of the vegetable, responding to the problem of water scarcity.
