Centrifuge Model Test on the Seismic Response of the Pile-Supported Wharf Slope
摘要
Pile-supported wharf is a quintessential wharf structure in soft soil areas, and it may suffer severe damage during earthquake. This paper studied the seismic response of the pile-supported wharf system by dynamic centrifuge model test. The variation of the acceleration, displacement, and excess pore water pressure with time at different positions in the wharf slope was studied. The results indicate that there is a risk of inducing soil liquefaction due to the continuously increase of pore pressure in the soil, and it may lead to slope instability.
