With the continuous expansion of the highway network, the relevant departments put forward stricter requirements for the construction of highways with tunnels. For highway tunnel engineering with complex engineering geology, during the excavation and construction of the tunnel face, anchor bolts and conduits are used to anchor the surrounding rock to ensure the safety of people and things during the excavation and construction of the highway tunnel. In this paper, a highway tunnel project in Shanxi Province is taken as a case. Through the analysis of the mechanism of advanced bolt support, scientific and reasonable advanced support construction design is carried out to ensure that this technology can play a full role. In addition, an ultra-high-strength aluminum alloy pipe advanced support is adopted to improve the safety and stability of tunnel construction.
