Culture is the sum of material and spiritual civilization and an important symbol of social development. Culture varies from region to region in five aspects: language, clothing, food, architecture, and transportation. This chapter discusses the geographical distribution differences of culture, specifically analyzing the role of culture and cultural industries in geographical development, the spatial distribution differences of culture and their causes, the spatial distribution differences of cultural industries and their causes, and the strategic spatial layout of China’s culture and cultural industries to promote the development of China’s economy through the development of culture and cultural industries. The objectives of this chapter are as follows: 1. To understand the role of culture and cultural industries in geographical development. 2. To understand the spatial distribution differences and reasons for different cultures. 3. To become familiar with the strategic spatial layout of Chinese culture and cultural industries.
