One of the areas of networking and data communication that is evolving the fastest is the wireless body area network (WBAN). Thanks to major improvements in semiconductor technology and wireless technologies, sensor networks may now function independently and easily connect several types of sensors, including medical, positional, and geographic sensors, with other devices. These networks are now more reliable and effective than ever. With each body acting as a mobile autonomous system (AS) that is connected to other ASes, each identified by its own autonomous system number (ASN), a WBAN normally consists of intra-body and inter-body communication systems. The intra-body system is made up of sensors and other embedded devices that are attached to or implanted into the body. These nodes are networked together via special linkages. Through their interactions, these nodes in a body area network promote sensor interdependence and allow for real-time data sharing. On the other hand, the inter-body system links several intra-body networks, establishing a large, safe framework for exchanging private data. When utilized, particularly in military settings, this network guarantees the secure transmission of vital and private information between staff members. Top-secret intelligence is shielded from potential breaches by secure password mechanisms that prevent unauthorized access to the sent material.
