By integrating trees into agricultural landscapes, farmers can improve food security, income generation, and environmental conservation, while also providing a more resilient and adaptable food system, as a sustainable source of components of multipurpose foods toward aspiring one health in the society. Agroforestry systems, being naturally endowed with multipurpose qualities, can promote food security by sustaining yields, diversifying income streams, and improving nutritional quality, while also generating income through value-added products like timber and non-timber forest products. Additionally, agroforestry systems can mitigate the impacts of climate change by sequestering carbon dioxide, reducing soil erosion, and promoting biodiversity. To achieve this vision, policymakers must provide support for research and development initiatives, while civil society organizations must raise awareness about the benefits of agroforestry systems.
