This study provides a detailed analysis of employee attrition in the IT industry, highlighting key factors such as job dissatisfaction, career stagnation, and organizational culture. The study employs comprehensive methodologies and presents actionable strategies for retention, including employee engagement and skill development. It is a valuable resource for understanding and mitigating attrition challenges. To preserve the goal of controlling hazards associated with humans, they must be detected during the SDLC in order for IT sectors to remain viable and productive. The industry most significantly impacted by employee attrition is information technology, which is dominated by knowledge workers and is rapidly increasing. These information workers establish high expectations for themselves and their lives, distinguishing them from workers in other fields. The study found that, in addition to other aspects that employees examine before leaving an organization, assessment, training, transparency, and flexibility are important characteristics. Human-related risks in software development can be mitigated, avoided, or transferred by implementing appropriate strategies and procedures. The attrition rate is an important HR statistic that helps firms assess the stability and happiness of their workforce. It also highlights potential areas for improvement in workforce planning, people management, and engagement, indicating the effectiveness of retention strategies.
