In this study, a molybdenum selenide (MoSe2/rGO) nanocomposite was synthesized using a hydrothermal method. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern of the MoSe2/rGO nanocomposite reveals the presence of MoSe2 and rGO, with a broad diffraction peak corresponding to the (100) plane, which confirms that the MoSe2 nanostructure has a two-dimensional sheet-like morphology and a hexagonal crystal structure. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and UV-visible spectroscopy analysis further confirms the formation of MoSe2, MoSe2/rGO, and Se. This study highlights the potential application of the nanocomposite as an electrode material for supercapacitors.
