The biceps brachii tendon consists of two heads originating from the coracoid process (short head) and the supraglenoid tubercle of the scapula (long head), attaching to the radial tuberosity. It functions as a robust supinator of the forearm and serves as a comparatively less powerful elbow flexor. In cases of distal biceps rupture, symptoms such as ecchymosis, swelling, and tenderness may appear in the antecubital fossa. If the lacertus fibrosus is involved, the muscle may retract to the upper arm, and a noticeable defect in the distal tendon may be evident.
