Heat waves, flooding, quakes and typhoons are no new vocabularies on a daily routine. The Chapter attempts to delineate the scope for climate-responsive design, presenting resilient strategies and measures for adapting and mitigating the impacts of climate change through Passive, Active, and Hybrid building design. It offers insights into low carbon building materials, casting projections for the new future, and derives strategic guidance for design, construction and operation.
