Hyperthermia being one of the major treatments used to treat and cure skin cancer has been extensively studied by researchers at present. The finite difference method and the implicit scheme along with the Gauss–Seidel iterative method and Thomas Algorithm has been employed to develop a numerical model to find the temperature profile in the human skin with a tumor. In this paper, a thorough examination of the effect of increase or decrease in ambient temperature and relative humidity on thermal behavior of the tumor has been done for different age-groups and the obtained results have been compared. The power and therapeutic time required to treat tumors present in different layers have been found and compared.

摘要
