Quality assurance in higher education was officially established at the national level in Vietnam in 2003 with the primary purposes of quality control, quality enhancement, and accountability. This chapter outlines two decades of development in quality assurance of Vietnamese higher education. The first section provides an introduction to the book with a focus on its objectives and rationale. The second section describes the book overview with a summary of each part and chapter. The final section highlights the concluding remarks with an emphasis on the significance and contribution of this study. This book provides a comprehensive examination of advancements in quality assurance within Vietnamese higher education over the last 20 years, alongside forecasts regarding predictive analytics for its future development.
